Schedule an appointment with GEO based on your needs/question. Virtual Drop-In hours with each of these units is Monday through Friday, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at via Zoom.

International Admissions

For prospective students who intend to enroll in a degree program at UNM and have questions about admission, scholarships or transcripts.  Also for current students who have questions about their international scholarship. (Amigo, Leadership, etc.)

Center for English Language and American Culture (CELAC)

For those interested or enrolled in UNM’s intensive English program or Community Course.

International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS)

For UNM international students and research scholars in academic degree or exchange programs who want to discuss visa/immigration status, travel issues, work requirements (or apply for work authorization such as OPT, STEM OPT, Academic Training), or have questions about other services for internationals at UNM.

International Student Advising Appointment - For travel, visa, J1 academic training or general work questions. Also for students who need help with campus issues/problems.

OPT Application Appointments for F-1 Students - ONLY for international students in F-1 status applying for Optional Practical Training work permission (will complete program requirements in the next 3 months)

STEM OPT Extension for F-1 Students Currently on OPT - ONLY for international students in F-1 status currently on OPT who earned a STEM degree.

Education Abroad

For current or prospective UNM students interested in Studying Abroad.  Please schedule an appointment by logging in through the UNM LoboAchieve advisement system. UNM faculty or staff who want to discuss leading a program abroad, please see our program leader page.

UNM Passport Center

For US citizens seeking to apply for or renew a US passport or individuals who need passport-style photos.

Photo Service or Renewal Application - This appointment is for photo service or passport renewal applications only. Do not book this appointment if you are also applying for a new or First Time Passport Book or Passport Card.

New US Passport Application Adult/Minor - Schedule an appointment to apply for a new US passport.

GEO Notary

Notary Appointment - For UNM community members needing the services of a Notary Public.
