Every semester, The Global Education Office organizes trips to give students an opportunity to explore New Mexico and the other states in the US. Past trips have included visits to the spectacular Grand Canyon, ski/snowboard trips, and other beautiful locations in and around New Mexico!

Upcoming Trips

Tram Trip

(Friday, August 17th)

The first trip of the semester will be to the famous Sandia Peak Tramway! The Sandia Peak Tramway is an aerial tramway located adjacent to Albuquerque. It stretches from the northeast edge of the city to the crestline of the Sandia Mountains and has the world's third longest single span (it is also the longest aerial tram in the United States). The trip is a great way to see the Sandia Mountains and meet new people. 

Taos Trip

(Saturday, September 8th - Sunday, September 9th)

Do not miss the chance to have a great weekend in TAOS! Have a great experience meeting new friends and get to know one of the most beautiful historic towns in the mountains of New Mexico! Trip includes bus transportation from UNM campus and back, overnight accommodations, guides, 2 lunches, 1 dinner, 1 breakfast, Earth Ship Visitor Center, Chairlift Ride at Taos Ski Valley, and more! Balloon Glow

(Sunday, October 7th @ 4:30 pm) $19

Do not miss the spectacular Balloon Glow! Featuring over 300 hot air balloons that will light up the sky with color and excitement! Como see the spectacular evening highlight of the Balloon Fiesta! Fall Break Trip to the Grand Canyon

(Friday, October 12th to Sunday, October 14th)

Rec Services plans this weekend trip to the Grand Canyon so that students can hike, explore, and see the amazing monument. Some meals, transportation, and lodging will be provided all you have to do is sign-up, show-up, and experience an unforgettable trip. Red River Ski Trip

(Friday, February 2nd to Sunday February 4TH) $116

Go on a Gateway Adventure to Red River, New Mexico. Explore the mountain, ski down the slopes, or just hang out by the snow and drink some hot chocolate. Get the chance to watch and support the UNM Ski team in the Red River Competition! The base fee for this trip is $116.00 which includes 2 hotel nights, a lunch, and transportation. Spring Break Trip Moab, UT

(Sunday, March 11th to Tuesday, March 13th) $145

This amazing Spring Break Road Trip with REC Services takes you from New Mexico to Moab, Utah!!! On the way you will visit the Canyonlands National Park, the Aztec Ruins National Monument, and Arches National Park (look it up its awesome). This trip is an amazing opportunity to travel and see the scenic landscape of the west! The cost includes lodging, transportation, and 7 meals.
